Dig and Survive How to Protect the Mining Town at Night

Day is income. Night is the exam. Come home, keep kit in the bag, and hold the town you prepared.

Night Defense After Sundown

Night in Dig and Survive is the exam. Daylight is when you dig scrap, walk extras to the pawn shop, and mint Cash. After sundown the isolated mining town has to hold the undead with whatever kit you actually bought. This page is that hold. It is not a 3000-kill farm, not a Day 50 essay, and not a list of invented boss names. If you have not finished onboarding, start at Getting Started. If you still treat dusk as extra mining time, stay here.

The official loop is blunt: defeat enemies, dig for scrap, uncover what is going on. Survival gets harder as new threats and bosses appear the further you go. Night defense is how a 20-player online lobby turns that sentence into a porch you can stand on. Play the official experience. Copycat places do not track the same nights.

Come home before dark

The most expensive mistake is a rich node at the wrong clock. A bag of scrap in a hole is not income until the pawn shop sees it, and the pawn shop sits in town. Leave the mine while you can still walk, sell extras, restock, and close the shop UI. If the sky is already dropping, you are not “finishing one more swing.” You are late for the exam.

Sprint Boost makes you 25% faster during the day. Use that speed to finish the last pawn trip and to abort a greedy route. It does not make night safer. It does not shorten a kite. Rank it with the other real purchases on the tools and gamepasses list. Permanent Drill is the same story: legal daylight help that still requires you to be home when the undead move.

If movement, sprint, bag, or interact fight you at dusk, that is a controls problem. PC, mobile, tablet, and console all work; Roblox defaults differ. Fix the HUD on a quiet morning. A missed interact on a door or a revive is a wipe with extra steps.

Bag space is for weapons and meds

The bag is a night budget wearing a scrap costume. Dump junk at the pawn shop before sundown. Keep weapons and med kits. Leave a slot if Cheesy Bread still needs to reach the generator. A full inventory of unsold scrap with no room for a med kit is how the first grab ends the hold.

Bag Boost adds +4 slots. It is optional. The free version is fewer pieces of junk and more trips while the sun is up. Starter Cash ($500) only helps if you spend it on kit instead of novelty. Double Gems does not print med kits. Open the run checklist and the loadout planner between pawn trips until the split is muscle memory: fight gear stays, extras sell, bread walks to the machine if the town is hungry.

Do not redeem codes during the wave. The Codes button is bottom-right; DigSocial still grants 20 Lucky Tickets and remains the only confirmed string on the codes hub. Tickets roll a class. They do not hold a porch. Claim them in daylight, then close the UI.

Assign door, generator, and scrap on 20-player servers

The listing is online co-op, best played with friends, up to 20 players. There is no local split-screen. A public town that treats night as twenty solo games will leak. Name jobs before dusk. The co-op with friends page is the lobby version of this rule; this page is the night version.

Door. Someone watches the hold you actually prepared. That person is not in a hole. That person is not in the class menu. That person calls when a teammate is still outside the lights.

Generator. Feeding Cheesy Bread awards Yummers. It is a town job, not a vendor stack. One bread runner beats six people who each “might” feed it after the wave. If the machine is still hungry at sundown, feeding it is part of the hold, not a souvenir for tomorrow.

Scrap. Daylight miners become night defenders. Do not keep a scrap shift running after the cutoff because the node was pretty. Income already happened or it did not. The pawn shop will still be there in the morning.

Twenty players do not need twenty people on the same door. They need coverage, a caller, and a rule that the class roll waits. Premium starting class, Lucky Tickets, and Gems are account doors; they are not a reason for five people to sit in a menu while the undead arrive. Bigger Lobby adds seats. It does not assign a door.

Do not kite farther-out bosses into spawn

Distance from town is the difficulty slider. Near town is the night you funded. Farther out is an expedition. The bosses farther from town guide is the distance page. This page only needs one law: do not gift spawn a fight it did not schedule.

If you panic, do not sprint toward the porch with something still on you. If a teammate is already kiting inward, stop adding damage that keeps the threat glued to them. Break line, reset at town, and only re-engage if the group still has kit. A farther-out pull is everyone else’s exam too. Night defense fails in public lobbies for the same reason it fails in friend groups: one tourist treats the street as a private arena.

This wiki does not invent boss titles. If a thumbnail slaps a proper noun on a silhouette, it is unverified. Hold the town you can see.

Free Revive is a safety net, not an AFK license

Free Revive Every Run is one save, not a subscription. Decide before night who owns the pass, who gets the first save if two people go down, and whether a downed player farther from town is worth the walk. Cash-bought med kits are the repeatable plan. The pass is the exception.

Standing in a pack because “I have revive” is how you spend the net on nothing. AFK on the generator, AFK in a node, or AFK in the Codes UI is the same mistake with different scenery. Third-party auto-farm scripts that promise kill aura or auto dig skip the exam and grief the other 19 players. This wiki will not host payloads. Legal farms are Permanent Drill, Bag Boost, Sprint Boost, and showing up.

What night defense is not

It is not Still Standing (kill 3000 zombies). That badge is a volume grind. Combat tourism during a hold steals positioning. It is not Survivor by itself. Reaching Day 50 is fifty copies of this exam; this page is one night done correctly. It is not First Steps, which is the tutorial, and it is not What Comes Next? or Helping Hand, which are story-path and quest-line badges on the badges list. Night discipline is how those long jobs stay possible.

Join the im diggin it group for listed free rewards. Watch the B.L.O.X INTERACTIVE Discord after patches; there is no official Trello. Until a verified note says otherwise, the night rule stays: home before dark, kit in the bag, jobs named, no inward kite, revive spent on purpose.

A sundown checklist

  1. Scrap extras pawned. Weapons and meds in the bag. Bread delivered if the generator is hungry.
  2. Sprint Boost already used as extra daylight trips, not as a night fantasy.
  3. Codes closed. Class menu closed. Shop closed.
  4. Door, generator, and leftover scrap roles spoken out loud, even in text.
  5. Abort path is a clear road, not a parade into spawn.
  6. Free Revive owners known. Med kits are still the plan.

Then stand the hold you paid for. Morning starts the income shift again. Night is only hard when you skip the boring half of the day.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Dig and Survive on Roblox.

When should I stop digging before night in Dig and Survive?

Stop while you can still walk to town, pawn extras, restock kit, and close the shop UI. A rich node after that cutoff is a late exam, not extra income. See how to dig scrap.

Does Sprint Boost help during night defense?

No. Sprint Boost is 25% faster during the day only. Use it for pawn trips and to get home. Rank it on the tools list.

Should I kite a farther-out boss into town?

No. Distance from town is the difficulty slider. Do not pull a night fight into spawn. Prep and abort rules live on bosses farther from town.

Is Free Revive Every Run a reason to AFK the hold?

No. It is one safety net per run. Med kits from Cash are the repeatable plan. Scripts that skip the fight are covered on auto farm.

How should a 20-player lobby split night jobs?

Name a door hold, a generator/bread job, and stop scrap after the cutoff. The co-op guide covers joining friends; the loadout planner is the short job board.
