Dig and Survive Class Unlock Tier List

We rank how you get a class, not invented class names: Premium, tickets, then Gems.

Class Acquisition Tiers

This is not a fan-fiction roster. Dig and Survive has not published a public, stable list of class names that this wiki is willing to reprint, so we will not invent any. What we can rank is how you acquire a class: Roblox Premium starter, Lucky Tickets, and Gems. Those three doors are real, they are scarce in different ways, and they decide whether your first 20-player night feels planned or panicked.

Read the mechanic page first: how classes work. This page is the spend-or-save ranking. For paid digging tools that are not classes, use the tools and gamepasses tier list. The parent tier list hub links both.

Ranking criteria

We score each acquisition method on three axes.

First-run value. Does this method put a class on you before you have learned controls and how to dig scrap?

Long-run value. After you understand day scrap, pawn shop, generator, and night holds, is this method still the cheapest way to change loadout?

Co-op value. On a 20-player online server, does this method help the town, or does it only soothe one impatient click?

Tiers below are S through F for those methods. They are not grades for secret class titles.

S tier: Premium starting class

If you already pay for Roblox Premium, take the starting class and do not spend tickets until you know what you received. Premium is the only method that can fire before DigSocial, before a Gem dump, and before you understand the mining town. That first-run spike is why it sits in S.

Long-run, Premium is still efficient because you did not burn the 20 Lucky Tickets from DigSocial. Those tickets remain a later reroll fund. Co-op value is high: you show up to night defense already specialized instead of AFK in a menu while teammates hold a gate.

If you do not have Premium, do not buy a whole subscription just to copy this tier. Jump to tickets. Premium is S for people who already have it, not a mandatory tax.

A tier: Lucky Tickets, saved then spent

Lucky Tickets are the F2P class key. The only verified code grant is DigSocial = 20 Lucky Tickets, redeemed with the bottom-right Codes button. That stack is large enough to matter and small enough to waste in one nervous tap.

When to save tickets

  • Until the tutorial and First Steps are done. You cannot evaluate a class mid-onboarding.
  • Until you have run at least one full day and night: scrap out, pawn, fortify, undead in. Getting started is the checklist.
  • Until you know whether Premium already gave you a starter. Double-spending is the classic mistake.
  • Until you have a plan for bag space and a drill. A class does not fix a full bag; Bag Boost and Permanent Drill do.
  • Until a teammate on your 20-player server tells you what the lobby is missing. Co-op value of tickets is “fill a hole,” not “roll because the button glows.”

When to spend tickets

  • You finished the loop above and still feel under-armed at dusk.
  • You are pushing farther out toward bosses and the current kit cannot travel.
  • You are targeting a long run such as Day 50 and want a committed identity before nights scale.

Tickets beat Gems on value because the code is free and group play does not charge you per roll. They drop to B or worse if you yo-lo them on minute one.

B tier: Gems, after tickets are gone

Gems are the premium currency sink for class access when tickets are empty. They are honest: you know you are paying. They are also easy to overspend because the game will happily take them while you still have unused DigSocial tickets sitting in the same HUD.

First-run value is weak unless you already intended to swipe. Long-run value rises if you keep playing after the code well is dry, especially if you own Double Gems (ranked on the tools list). Co-op value is real only when the rest of the town needs you respecced now, not when you are bored in the pawn shop.

Rule: tickets first, Gems second, never both on the same uninformed click. If a shop tries to sell you a named class this wiki does not list, walk away. We will not ratify a rumor name.

C tier: Impulse rolls with mixed currencies

Opening every class prompt the moment it appears, mixing a few tickets with a few Gems, and never writing down what you already own is how players feel broke at Day 10. The methods are still valid. The timing is not. This tier is a behavior, not a third currency.

Symptoms: you cannot explain whether you used Premium, tickets, or Gems; you still have not redeemed DigSocial; you have not checked group rewards; you are asking chat for class names this wiki refuses to invent.

Fix it by treating class acquisition like scrap logistics. Count tickets. Count Gems. Count whether Premium already fired. Then pick one door.

F tier: Scripted or “unlock all” class menus

Any tool that claims every class without Premium, tickets, or Gems is an inf-item cheat. That is not an acquisition method we rank as play. It is a ban path described on auto farm scripts. It also ruins co-op trust on a 20-player night. Leave it in F and do not paste it into a command bar.

How this ranking plays with the rest of the wiki

Class method does not replace the town loop. After you pick a door, you still dig scrap, feed the generator Cheesy Bread, hold nights, and decide whether bosses and endings are this run’s goal. Badges such as Helping Hand and What Comes Next? care about quest lines and endings, not about which currency opened the class UI. See the badges guide.

If the developers publish a durable, official class name list, this page will split into named rows. Until then, ranking fake titles would be SEO spam. We rank Premium, Lucky Tickets, and Gems, and we tell you when to save the 20 tickets from DigSocial.

For live changes to those economies, watch the September 2026 update notes and the B.L.O.X INTERACTIVE Discord. There is no Trello and no official wiki. When a drop changes ticket payouts, the codes hub moves first; this tier list only changes if the methods change.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Dig and Survive on Roblox.

Why does this class tier list not name classes?

This wiki will not invent class titles. We rank acquisition methods: Premium starter, Lucky Tickets, and Gems. Named kits belong on how classes work only when they are verified.

Should I spend DigSocial tickets immediately?

Usually no. Save the 20 Lucky Tickets until the tutorial is done, you know if Premium already gave a starter, and you have survived one night. Redeem steps are on how to redeem codes.

Is Roblox Premium required to play a class?

No. Premium is the best first-run method if you already have it. Everyone else uses Lucky Tickets or Gems. Details sit on the class overview.

Are Gems better than Lucky Tickets?

Tickets win on price because DigSocial is free. Gems are the backup after tickets are gone, and they pair with Double Gems on the tools ranking.

Does class unlock method change badge requirements?

No. Badges still need tutorial, generator bread, Day 50, 3000 kills, a quest line, or an ending. Currency used to open a class does not skip those.
